Press Releases

November 26, 2014

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (Nov. 17, 2014) – CodeBlue, which is a leading innovator in the emerging water mitigation industry, today announced that it was pursuing new programs with three universities: Purdue University, Kent State and Wittenberg.

With Purdue, CodeBlue has been working to finalize a program built on several years of mutual projects. The Kent State initiative involves a summer internship program, as does the Wittenberg initiative.

“These programs allow some of the finest engineers from Purdue to bring fresh perspective, new insights and the latest thinking to this emerging industry,” said CodeBlue President and CEO Paul Gross, who added that the company was the only third-party administrator (TPA) in the insurance industry to have these kinds of water mitigation programs.

He said the Kent State program allowed participants to focus on process improvement methodologies. Purdue ranks among the largest in the United States, and both its undergraduate and graduate programs are highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

CodeBlue has been working with the newly-created Restoration Department in the Building and Construction Management major. CodeBlue has attended business council meetings and donated time and resources to the university, as well as supporting career fairs.

Last year, CodeBlue VP of Education, Ed Jones presented a white paper to Purdue students. In summer 2014, CodeBlue worked with Kent State on advanced use of technology as it applied to process improvement.

"We’re innovators … it’s in our DNA,” said Gross.
