- APU Solutions is the technology leader for the insurance, collision-repair and alternative parts supply industries. APU’s web-based network provides nationwide parts availability, quality, pricing and procurement, plus tools to track and manage Alternative Parts Utilization.
- At APU Dan repositioned the company’s selling model to improve profits, dramatically improved operating performance and sold the company to a NYSE market leader at three times the prior equity values.
- As CEO of this successful auto glass and claims outsourcing company, Dan tripled earnings in five years. He restructured the company’s technology platform and paid off 75% of the company’s debt ahead of schedule. He also created innovative operating models for the core glass business, which improved Safelite coverage for insurers and convenience for their policyholders.

Jason Manns served as the Chief Claims Officer for Ameriprise Financial’s Property Casualty Insurance Company. Ameriprise Financial is a fortune 500 organization with with 2 million clients and $800 billion in assets under management that writes personal lines auto and home insurance in 44 states with an A.M. Best rating of “A” (Excellence) for financial strength.
Jason has 25 years of insurance leadership experience modernizing and transforming organizations to best in class levels. He joined Ameriprise in 2014 and for 4 years led a staff of 700 employees handling $910M annually in customer experiences. He developed innovative initiatives and communication strategies that improved employee engagement, leadership effectiveness and reduced employee turnover 40%. As a cross functional leader, he collaborated with product, underwriting, and actuary to drive profitable revenue growth in a customer centric business model. Jason was a member of the Operating Committee responsible for company-wide decision making at Ameriprise Property Casualty and was a member of the executive team responsible for Chairman’s Award selections at Ameriprise Financial.
Starting in 2007, Jason led for 7 years the personal lines claims operations at Grange Insurance. He championed the creation of reporting and governance that transformed decision making to connect to companywide goals. Jason’s passion for continual process improvement increased both agent and customer satisfaction to record levels during his tenure. Leading the strategic direction and implementing aggressive change management reduced loss costs and contributed to improved financial outcomes.
He began his career at Progressive Insurance in 1994 and for 14 years developed high performing field and home office operations. Jason focused on operational excellence and data driven decision making that targeted behavioral change. Responsibilities included the creation of companywide strategies and the implementation of services and products for auto, boat, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle customers.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. He and his wife and two daughters currently live in Las Vegas, NV. Jason is a food enthusiast and avid about physical fitness. He is a published industry speaker, youth development leader and sponsor at World Vision with a focus on education and poverty alleviation.
Vice President of Education & Operational Excellence
Ed Jones is a subject matter expert in water damage mitigation. He has worked in the water damage mitigation industry for over 30 years as a manager of a corporate franchise, owner of an independent restoration company, VP of Operations for an international franchisor, catastrophe response coordinator, continuing education trainer for insurance agents and adjusters, IICRC approved instructor in water damage restoration (WRT & ASD) and VP of Education, Research & Development for CodeBlue, LLC. Ed has also been a presenter and trainer for the Property and Liability Resource Bureau and has presented on water damage restoration at many national and regional conferences.
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Scott Westbrook came to CodeBlue with vast experience in the insurance claims industry, having most recently served as vice president and co-founder of APU Solutions for 17+ years. He played an integral role in automating and advancing various aspects of the company’s workflow to ultimately benefit customers. Scott began his career in sales 25 years ago in the technology sector. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Westbrook is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in Operation Desert Storm.
Vice President of Sales
Gary Turner joined CodeBlue in December 2005 as Vice President of Property Claims, and currently serves as Vice President of Sales. Gary’s extensive experience spans several industries, including being a co-founder of Glass America, a mid-size regional Auto Glass Retailer, where he established two retail stores in Chicago which grew to 65 retail locations in 13 States. Gary is the former Executive Vice President with Globe Glass & Mirror Co., where he was responsible for National Retail Auto Glass Sales, Mergers & Acquisitions and was part of the Executive Management Team helping grow the retail chain from 34 retail stores to 124. Gary also served as Vice President of USA Glass Network, one of the first Third Party Administrators for Auto Glass, where he helped establish its first two clients, Allstate Insurance and USA. In addition, Gary was Vice President of Vistar, a merger of Globe Glass & Mirror and Windshields America, where he was responsible for retail sales over the eastern half of the US.
Vice President of Sales
Jill’s portfolio includes extensive experience within multiple facets of the property insurance industry. She specializes in major market expansion throughout the country with key clients. Jill began her career in the insurance space over ten years ago as an agent marketer for a local Third Party Company; a position which set her path with newfound passion.
Jill is a graduate from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors in Biology.
Vice President of Sales
Gary Michicich joined CodeBlue with over 22 years of insurance claims industry experience. He most recently served as an Executive Leader for Audatex, a Solera company. Gary's early career involved working auto and property claims, evolving through various aspects of the business from repair partners and managed networks to mid-market and national insurer relationships. Gary has extensive experience in sales, operations and management across claim technologies and outsourced services. Gary's skills will position CodeBlue's clients for expanded, pro-active benefits with our innovative technologies and core service offerings.
Gary was born and raised in Chicago and lives in the western suburbs where he and his wife have raised their two daughters who live nearby and abroad.
AVP of Affiliates & Customer Care
Dusty Bodenmiller joined CodeBlue in September 2011 and currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Affiliates and Customer Care. In this role, he leads our team of claim handlers to ensure the best results are provided to our partners. He has received both WRT and AMRT certifications through the IICRC, as well as certifications in Customer Service, Business Leadership and Xactimate. Prior to joining CodeBlue, he held key leadership roles at different organizations within the insurance industry. Dusty has been successful in helping control severity, streamline training and development, increase productivity and reduce labor costs via numerous process improvement projects.
AVP of Contents, Inventory & CodeBlue360
Since joining CodeBlue in 2009 as a frontline Contents representative, Nick Allar has held several leadership roles within the company in multiple departments. Currently, Nick leads the teams focused on the revolutionary CodeBlue 360 program, onsite inventory services, contents valuations, and management of CodeBlue’s Affiliates Network. Nick’s ground-up progression through CodeBlue gives him a unique insight into all phases of a claim which allows him to ensure his teams are executing the areas that are most important to our clients and their insureds. Nick’s commitment to all stakeholders in the claim process is evident in all aspects of his work as well as that of his teams allowing them to provide the best service and results in the industry.
Director of Client Services
Carolann Demers joined the CodeBlue Team in April of 2016 as the Director of Client Services, bringing over 25 years of customer service and process improvement skills. She leads the dynamic Client Services and Operational teams, ensuring clients engagements through-out North America are delivered with the highest level of quality and professionalism. Carolann partners with strategic account leaders and VP/Senior Consultants to develop strategies for successful client engagements all centered around enhancing the customer experience.
Prior to joining CodeBlue, Carolann consistently delivered outstanding results throughout her career with HSG in each role. Starting as a front-line Customer Service Representative she quickly advanced her career though her leadership skills and ability to proactively identify opportunities and solutions while remaining focused on customer needs.
Carolann’s previous roles prior to joining CodeBlue positioned her well to foster a service-oriented work environment with an emphasis on quality, accountability, innovation and teamwork.
Director of Managed Repairs
Tony Tousignant joined CodeBlue in October 2018 as Director of Managed Repair. Tony has twelve years of experience in the insurance claims industry including experience as a claims professional and director of quality and compliance for a third party administrator. Tony’s knowledge in handling claims from the carrier and TPA perspective have helped set CodeBlue apart in the industry. Tony’s expertise contributed to the development of CodeBlue Assure, a unique software to the industry that tracks and shows the progress of a claim in real time. Tony is IICRC WRT, ASD, and FSRT certified.
Director of Call Center Operations
Christopher Hild has been with CodeBlue since August 2011. Christopher has over fifteen years of experience running large call center and customer service operations; servicing Tommy Hilfiger, National Geographic, Esprit, and many more. Christopher’s experience in call center operations with a focus on customer experience has helped CodeBlue become a leader call center productivity. He and his team are dedicated to providing every customer with a pleasant and efficient experience.
Manager of Human Resources
Nancy Puerner joined CodeBlue in August of 2018 as Human Resource Manager, in which her responsibilities include acquisition, retention and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Nancy’s experience spans human resources, recruiting, employee relations and customer service. She is an integral member the leadership team as well as managing, motivating and retaining CodeBlue’s talented employees.
